Picnic
We enjoyed our last lunch together in Year 1. We had a picnic on the music field.
What a Day!
1P had a fabulous day in London. All the boys behaved wonderfully and made us very proud!
Visitor
Year 1 welcomed a special visitor today. We learned about Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. We even got to eat honey cake!
Summer
We have had a busy couple of weeks in 1P. We have been learning about grouping animals in Science and the boys have talked about omnivores, herbivores and carnivores.
We have enjoyed some Welly Time outside where we had some team challenges to complete and we even enjoyed a story under the shade of a tree.
In Maths we have revisited partitioning numbers into tens and ones. It has been lovely to see the boys growing in confidence with this. They were all keen to play this game yesterday so I thought you might like the link to use at home.

Have a lovely weekend!
The Jubilee
This week we have enjoyed a workshop from the Royal Mews, a street party and a coin mosaic challenge. Can you spot the corgi?
Shabbat
We have been learning about how Jewish people celebrate Shabbat. Today we tasted grape juice and challah bread. We also learned how families spend time together and rest on a Saturday.
Chicks
We have had an exciting few days waiting for the chicks to hatch! We now have all 10 and will be able to hold them from next week.
